‘Top Shape Christmas Trees Luddenham’ Christmas Tree Farm offers freshly cut real Christmas trees grown on our Luddenham farm, family-owned and operating since 1998. Our trees are carefully shaped-by-hand and maintained throughout the year to produce the full, traditional look families love at Christmas. We cut our trees daily during the Christmas season to ensure maximum freshness, lasting fragrance and long-lasting quality. Visitors from across Sydney, including Penrith, Liverpool, Camden, Blacktown and surrounding areas, travel to our Luddenham location for healthy, well-shaped trees and a reliable Christmas tree experience built over decades.

Before you bring it inside

Store in shade: If you’re not setting it up straight away, keep the tree in a cool, shaded area out of direct sun and wind.
Keep it hydrated: Stand it in a bucket of water so the base doesn’t dry out. A dry cut seals quickly and limits water uptake later.

Setting up indoors

Make a fresh cut: Trim about 2 cm off the trunk base before placing it in the stand. This opens the pores so the tree can draw water.
Use a sturdy stand: Choose one that holds at least 2 litres of water for every 2.5 cm of trunk diameter.
Position wisely: Keep the tree away from heat and direct sunlight. Warm air speeds up drying and needle drop.

Daily care

Top up water: A tree can absorb up to 4 litres on the first day and 1 – 2 litres each day after. Keep your tree stand full of water by refilling it daily. Never let the base dry out.
Check lights: Use low-heat LED lights and always switch them off when you leave the house or go to bed.

After Christmas

Council mulching service: Some councils offer a real Christmas tree drop-off mulching service which ensures your tree is recycled appropriately.
Recycle responsibly: You can also chip the tree yourself for mulch or cut branches for compost.
Hold onto your stand: Wash out and reuse your stand next Christmas.

We’re Back for Christmas 2025!
A New Chapter for Top Shape Christmas Trees

In 2018, due to the re-alignment of The Northern Road and Elizabeth Drive, we sadly said goodbye to our long-time home, and with it, a large part of our Christmas tree farm. It was truly the end of an era, but not the end of our story.

After rebuilding our family home locally, we wasted no time replanting and rebuilding the farm, both on what remained of our original land and on a nearby new property. During the interim years, without public access, we continued trading through wholesale, keeping the Top Shape tradition alive behind the scenes.

Fast forward to 2025, and we’re beyond excited to share that our new retail premises are complete on the original site (though you may have to look twice to recognise it!).

This Christmas, Top Shape Christmas Trees is back bigger, brighter, and greener than ever! After years of hard work, planning, and preparation, we’re ready to welcome you once again to share in the joy and tradition of choosing a real Christmas tree with your family.
